Scheduling
I use a schedule similar to the schools (Madison City), with some of the “traditional” vacation days. I do teach in the summer, however. As usual, the lesson fee is the same for every month, regardless of how many vacation days may fall in that month. I have divided the fee for the year evenly across the 12 months in order to make it easier to keep up with, so the fee for December is the same as for February, etc.
Make Up Lessons
Due to the fact that my schedule is busy between all my students, church, family, and community commitments, ONLY LESSONS CANCELLED BY THE TEACHER ARE GUARANTEED TO BE MADE UP. If you cannot come to your lesson, letting me know by text or email is encouraged, and if I have enough notice, I MAY be able to make the lesson up. I will prioritize making up lessons for illness or when you give me a week or more notice. I need you to make your lesson time a priority. Of course, if I am sick or have to cancel your lesson for any reason, I will either do the lesson virtually or make up the lesson. Watch your email for possible cancellations.
If you are SICK, please do not come to your lesson. If you have a sore throat, are coughing, or have had a fever in the last 24 hours, please do not come. If you feel well enough to come, but have been sick in the last day or so, please plan to wear a mask to your lesson. I will do my best to make up lessons missed for illness.
Fees
Charge is $120 per month for a 30-minute weekly lesson. You may pay by Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, check, or cash. Many people like to have a check sent directly from their bank for their convenience.
Lesson fees are due on the 1st of the month, past due after the 10th. Please add a $10 service charge to your lesson fee if it is late. Lesson fees are the same each month, regardless of any holidays in that month.
I do not require a contract, but I do require 30 days’ notice when stopping lessons. (i.e., If you plan to end lessons at the end of May, I need to know on or before May 1.)
